Chicka Chicka Boom Boom...Learning through the Alphabet!
On our first fun friday, we explored a coconut with our senses and had a little taste test as well. We also enjoyed making our own chicka chicka boom boom trees with our handprints. Hope you enjoy the pictures. :)
I have some fun pictures from our "Fun Friday" last week. I will post and give you an update on what's been going on in room 110 this week! :)

Yay for the First Day!!
Today was a fabulous day!! We had lots of fun learning about our school and our classroom. Here are a few pictures to show how our day went... I hope you enjoy! :)
We learned about our classroom rules and read about the trouble maker "David" and his first day at school. We decided we wanted to be good decision makers and "peacemakers" in our room and came up with a list for "What good students look like". I can tell my kiddos are so smart and are already making good choices.
Can't wait for the rest of the week and all the fun we will be having!

Conference time!
I have spent a couple of days the last two weeks at conferences and I have LOVED every minute of it! I have gotten to meet some wonderful and incredibly creative people! I have gotten some great ideas to incorporate in my classroom to help my students be more successful learners and some insight into how to get results in the classroom and in life.
Last week I spent my Wednesday at the NEAEC conference at BSLK. It was wonderful! Kim Adsit was the keynote speaker and she was amazing! She was incredibly funny, insightful and motivating!
Today I spent my day at the Marshall County Professional development Academy. The keynote speaker was the New York Times bestseller, Andy Andrews. Boy was he charismatic, passionate and super funny! He shared some of his principles for obtaining the life that you want. It was such a simple concept, but we often forget the importance of a smile and taking responsibility for our own actions. Something I want my students to learn and practice everyday. "We control our own destiny!".
I have had a blast learning and am even more pumped for this new year! I cant wait to share with my students my love of learning and encourage them to find theirs too!
I will leave you with this video of the speaker I heard today...just some food for thought. :) Click Here.
