Penny Wars...let the games begin!!

Tomorrow is the beginning of our penny wars.

Please send your child with LOTS of pennies and some silver coins. This is a great way for us to raise money for our PTO and have some friendly competition among the classrooms.

There will be a prize for the class who wins! :).

We got spirit, yes we do! We got spirit, how 'bout you?!

We finished off our second week of school with a little football season fun!  The students got to listen to the Auburn band play at a football game (WAR EAGLE!!)  and see the eagle fly.  They also got to hear the Alabama band and watch their cheerleaders at a pep rally.

 We also  created our very own football players and cheerleaders which are posted outside our classroom for everyone to see.  Enjoy the pics :)

These kids have done so well learning the rules for each center and working together to get their work done.  They have shown so much excitement for the centers and what they will learn everyday.

Math Centers Exploration

 We have had a blast getting into the groove of things in room 110.  It has been a busy couple of weeks, but we are having so much fun and learning so much!

Learning about addition using counters and writing addition sentences...

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom...Learning through the Alphabet!

On our first fun friday, we explored a coconut with our senses and had a little taste test as well.  We also enjoyed making our own chicka chicka boom boom trees with our handprints.  Hope you enjoy the pictures. :)

Having blast!

 We continue to have fun and work on getting to know one another.  Today was the first full day of school with a reading lesson and our first math test...eek!  They did GREAT!  We also created our "All About Me" Glyph, using questions to help us get to know each other.  Here are some more photos of our exciting adventure in room 110.

Yay for the First Day!!

Today was a fabulous day!!  We had lots of fun learning about our school and our classroom.  Here are a few pictures to show how our day went... I hope you enjoy! :)

Sweet girls getting their paint on...:)  It was so sweet listening to them get to know each other. 

We learned about our classroom rules and read about the trouble maker "David" and his first day at school.  We decided we wanted to be good decision makers and "peacemakers" in our room and came up with a list for "What good students look like".  I can tell my kiddos are so smart and are already making good choices.  

Can't wait for the rest of the week and all the fun we will be having!
