AHS Culinary Field Trip

We had a phenomenal day with the high school culinary department.  They demonstrated how to slice apples, make fruit dip, cook apple crisp in their state of the art kithchen, and showed our kids kindness and what leadership looks like!  We had an unforgettable day!  

Field Trip Monday!!

Make sure to send the permission form for the Culinary Department back no later than this Friday, September 16th.  We go on that trip Monday morning.  It is going to be an awesome experience! 

Grandparents Day!

We had a wonderful turn out for Grandparents Day today!  Sweet kiddos being loved on by their precious grandparents!   

Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day is tomorrow from 1-2pm.  We are so excited for them to come tour the school, make a special treat, and get some surprises the kids have made for them.  Please have them check in at the APS office with their blue visor card and ID.  😊❤️

Police Department Fundraiser

SWS busted through our goal of $500 and raised $661 for the Douglas Police Department.  They will now be able to supply 6 officers with life saving kits for their vehicles. Thanks for all your support during the fundraiser!!

Leaving Your Mark

We have been studying the book, The Dot, written by Peter H. Reynolds.  We want to celebrate perseverance, creativity and diversity!   The kiddos started their dot art today.  Just like Vashti, they had to be courageous and see where their imagination took them!

Open House Success!!

We had our Open House tonight!  It was wonderful to see the students with their families.  I enjoyed watching them show their families around.  It gave me joy to see the pride in their classroom, school, and hard work!
